The Country Brocante - A Winter Gathering at Cowdray

Join us for an exclusive festive gathering set within the beautiful walled garden at Cowdray, showcasing an exquisite capsule collection of antiques, interiors, festive gifts and decorations, artisan workshops and seasonal demonstrations.

A small, intimate and exclusive shopping event celebrating all the wonderful elements of The Country Brocante at Christmas.

The award winning Cowdray Farm shop & Cafe will be launching their Christmas Shop which located a short walk from the walled garden.

The Walled Garden

Open the door to The Cowdray Walled Garden and step into a beautiful, historic, hidden gem that dates back to 1550. A truly magical location for our Winter Gathering. Once known as The Walled Privy, located alongside the magnificent Cowdray Ruins, a landmark visited by royalty, including Henry VIII, Edward VI and Elizabeth I. In 1770 it is believed that British Landscape Architect Capability Brown was employed on the Estate and was involved in the design and planning of the Walled Garden.

Immerse Yourself

We love to create a beautiful day out where our visitors can immerse themselves in our unique Country Brocante experience. The Winter Gathering at The Walled Garden will be a small and exquisite edit of our larger fairs.

Inside the historic walls find winter scenes of roasting chestnuts, Christmas wreath making, mulled wine and basket weaving.

Step inside the warmth of the walled gardens and find stalls adorned with festive sparkle, a feast for the discerning eye. Find those perfect Christmas gifts handmade by talented artisans and makers.

There will be opportunities to take in a talk, workshop or demonstration from leading creatives, authors and experts. Details coming soon.
