The Country Brocante Summer Fair

Yarlington House & Gardens, Somerset

Immerse yourself in curated country living

The Country Brocante Summer in Somerset Fair 21- 22 June at Yarlington House 2024.

This year the Country Brocante will be bringing their hugely popular "Summer in Somerset" event to Yarlington House, a beautiful Georgian house of mellow brick and stone, set in delightful gardens and stunning parkland.

Built in 1782, Yarlington is the much loved family home of The Count and Countess Charles de Salis, who have filled their home with a fascinating collection of art and antiques and nurtured the grounds into the idyllic gardens they are today, filled with an abundance of roses, wisteria arbours and an enchanting apple pergola.

We look forward to welcoming you to Yarlington this summer, where we will be filling the parkland with our pretty white tents, overflowing with beautiful things for your home and garden. We pride ourselves on the careful curation of the finest decorative antique dealers, vintage homeware collectors, small independent businesses and artisans.

Our garden galleries will be brimming with perfect pieces for your home and charming finds for your garden.

We love to ensure our fairs are a wonderful day out in the English countryside, so there will be delicious food and drink offerings and tea and cake on the lawn.

Gardens & Garden Stands

The gardens are open for all The Country Brocante visitors, come and explore, relax after shopping in the dappled light beneath the trees with a cup of tea or glass of sparkling wine.

The rose garden nestles invitingly behind the pleached limes with the lily pond in the centre. The sunken Italian garden contains a plethora of roses and flowering shrubs - a dream of colour in summer months. The kitchen garden is contemporary with the house. It's original brick walls and 18th-century box-edged beds make an attractive setting but still fulfil their original purpose, providing produce for the house.

Please note that visitors enter the gardens at Yarlington House at their own risk. There are areas of uneven ground and paving. Please be aware that not all areas of the private gardens are accessible for wheelchair access or anyone requiring a handrail. The gardens are private family spaces that have not been built with public access in mind, however, the family have kindly agreed to open all areas to visitors. The Country Brocante does not accept any liability for damage or risk to visitors in spaces outside the parkland fair zone. Please refer to our ticket T&Cs.

We have a selection of specialist local nurseries. Find a large selection of herbs, Pelargoniums, salad plants and wild flowers you will also find wirework and plant stands, garden furniture and ideas for outside living.
